There's no need to introduce these guys: Groove Armada have been making music since 1995. With six studio albums, they are veterans amongst electronic music producers, sonically covering ground from house and big beats to downtempo, sythpop and trip-hop.
Their new EP, Pork Soda, will be released on Moda Black (UK label run by Jaymo & Andy George) and features three songs aimed with fierce precision to the dancefloor. Instead of keeping the more expansive and imediate compositions offered on Black Light, Andy Cato and Tom Findlay decided to step down to the basement and create some raw, dark and sweaty tunes.
All three tracks will surely urge you to close your eyes and dance uncontrollably, but all of them have their own personality: Hyde & Freak is sleazy and seductive, while Jack in Black has a good vibe genetically imprinted on its rhythm; as for the title track, Pork Soda, it's carefully produced deep house gem.
Preview Pork Soda and give Groove Armada some love, will ya?
